1986 Toyota MR2 Coupe in Leduc, AB

I am selling my 1986 Toyota MR2 for $3,000 or best offer. This is a fun mid-engine car with 163,549 km on the odometer. It has an automatic transmission and comes with sunroof, cruise control, and upgraded Panasonic MP3 headunit, upgraded Alpine speakers in the dash, and rear speakers in enclosures behind the rear seats. (Rear speakers were not available in this car for a couple more years.) The 1.6-litre engine is peppy, especially at higher RPMs and on the highway with cruise control, I typically see 40 mpg. The engine and transmission do not leak, nor does the engine burn oil. The timing belt was replaced approximately 18 months (15,000 km) ago. The belts and water pump were replaced, the coolant system flushed, and replaced with new coolant approximately 9 months (5,000 km) ago. All oil changes since I have owned the car have been full synthetic and have been performed every 5,000 km. A short ram air intake and reusable air filter is also included and installed. I have replaced the hood, the front bumper, both headlight units, and have rebuilt the "frunk" area since I purchased the car, as the previous owner rear-ended an SUV in the winter. All replacement parts are rust-free in keeping with the rest of the vehicle. The only rust spot is on the lower lip beneath the rear bumper, which can be sanded, primed, and painted easily. One fender has a dent at the top that needs to be popped and both require to be sanded, primed, and painted. The body is in otherwise fantastic shape, especially considering this is a 25-year old car. The windshield is cracked, but I have a replacement windshield that comes with the car. Also included is the rare Toyota plexiglass "spoiler" that extends over the rear window. This car is registered in Alberta and was driven regularly until I put it into storage in the fall. The car currently rides on 195/60R14 Falken Azenis tires on 14" American Racing Estrella wheels, painted bronze. (Tires should be replaced, but are still suitable for getting it home and driving it around.) Centre caps are included. 195/60R14 Hankook W400 studless winter tires on factory 14" "triangle" wheels are included too. Tires have almost no mileage on them as I have put the car into storage over the winter. (They were almost brand new when I bought the car.) Spare hood included, primed. Spare trunk lid and spoiler included, painted. Miscellaneous spare parts included, including centre console, glovebox, instrument cluster, spare tire toolkits, drivers and passengers seats, and many other spare parts. I am located in Leduc but the car is being stored in Camrose. I am open to offers and am willing to negotiate. I would like to see the car go to a good home, especially to someone who truly loves and appreciates the MR2. I do not appreciate low-ball offers though and have received several. I would rather drive the car myself or fill it with dirt and turn it into a flower pot than give it away.
